Charlton v Gillingham team news: Addicks unchanged for only second time this season
Charlton Athletic are unchanged for today’s home game against Gillingham.
It is only the second time that the Addicks have done so this season, the last time was in December for the matches against AFC Wimbledon and Swindon Town.
The match is Lee Bowyer’s 150th match in charge of Charlton.
“The players who came in did well from back to front,” said Bowyer. “We looked solid, we moved the ball well and scored goals.”
Jake Forster-Caskey had been a doubt to a hamstring strain but is able to start.
There were a couple of pitch inspections before the fixture was cleared to go ahead. Bowyer told Valley Pass: “There are some areas that are firm. We’re desperate to get it on, they are not so desperate to get it on.”
Charlton: Amos, Gunter, Oshilaja, Pearce, Purrington, Shinnie, Pratley, Forster-Caskey, Millar, Aneke, Stockley. Subs: Maynard-Brewer, Jaiyesimi, Matthews, Smith, Morgan, Watson, Schwartz.
Gillingham: Bonham, Jackson, Cundy, Tucker, Ogilvie, O’Connor, O’Keefe, Lee, Dempsey, Akinde, Oliver. Subs: Bastien, Maghoma, McKenzie, Willock, MacDonald, Johnson, Morton.
