Millwall set to be boosted by five players returning to first-team fold after international break

Millwall manager Gary Rowett is hoping to have Kenneth Zohore, Murray Wallace, Connor Mahoney, Ryan Leonard and Maikel Kieftenbeld all back available by the start of April.

The Lions have four more Championship matches before the next international break.

And Rowett believes all five players could be available for the home game against Rotherham on April 2.

“Ken and Lenny will be back around the international break – either just before or after it,” said the Millwall boss. “Probably Murray will be the same, and Connor. So in three or four games we should be in a much stronger position.

“Every time Connor has tried to kick on he has felt a bit of discomfort with the quad. It is frustrating. It looks like it could be the difference between now and the end of the season – how quickly we get some key players back so that we can rotate at the right times in the right games.”
