Dropped Tea Theatre opens up submissions for upcoming performances

A new female-led theatre company has announced an open call for submissions from creatives with lived experience growing up in Peckham and Camberwell.

Dropped Tea Theatre, led by local theatre-makers Jesse Bateson, Eva Bradley-Williams and Nassy Konan, will showcase contributions in an upcoming series of performances in September.

They said: “We’ve all grown up around Peckham and Camberwell, and so we’ve seen first hand how it’s changed which is why we’re so passionate about platforming local stories that might otherwise be lost.

“After a turbulent year we’re excited to be able to offer this opportunity to a local creative and use art and culture to bring people together again, support local businesses and celebrate in our own backyard.”

Applicants interested in any discipline are welcome to apply and no previous experience in the arts is necessary.

Submissions are open until 25 May.
