Darren Pratley confirms Charlton Athletic exit

Darren Pratley has announced that he is leaving Charlton Athletic this summer.

Addicks manager Nigel Adkins has been meeting with the squad since Tuesday to discuss their futures.

Pratley, 36, is out of contract at the end of next month.

He posted on LinkedIn: “My time at Charlton Athletic Football Club has come to an end. What an amazing three years I’ve had at this great football club.

“A big thank you to Lee Bowyer for giving me the opportunity. I have loved every minute of it and proud to have worn the shirt over 100 times. Thank you to everyone at the club who have made me feel so welcome.

“It really is a family club and those people behind the scenes are the heartbeat.

“All my team-mates over the last three years, it has been a pleasure sharing the changing room with you and I now class you as friends.

“Lastly a big thank you to all the fans for cheering us on through the highs and lows. If ever there was evidence to show how important you all are for the team it’s been this season not having you there pushing us on.”
