Shane Ferguson posts Millwall farewell message

Shane Ferguson has thanked everyone at Millwall after ending his six-year spell with the Championship club.

The versatile winger initially signed on loan from Newcastle United in August 2015, but soon made it a permanent switch in January 2016.

The Northern Ireland international has made 217 appearances for the Lions and scored 12 goals.

Ferguson posted on Twitter: “Thanks to everyone at Millwall FC for the past six years.

“I’ve loved every second at the club and there is so many memories I will never forget. Staff, players and fans, thank you for welcoming me to the club and for the messages since I have left. It means a lot to me and my family.”

He made 16 appearances in the 2020/21 season and his final one was in Millwall’s 1-0 victory against Derby County back in March at Pride Park.
