Attacking full-back Scott Malone pens deal to stay at Millwall

Scott Malone has turned his Millwall stay into a permanent move after signing a new contract in SE16.

Our website broke the news that the left-sided defender had verbally agreed new terms.

And the Lions confirmed this afternoon that Malone, who had spent last season on loan from Derby County, had committed his future.

Malone, 30, scored six goals in 43 appearances for Millwall last season. In total he has played 114 times for the Lions.

His first spell started in July 2012 when he arrived from AFC Bournemouth. He was sold to Cardiff City in January 2015.

Malone is Millwall’s second signing of the summer. The Championship side announced that goalkeeper George Long is joining when his Hull City contract expires on July 1.
