Caroline Dubois reaches European Olympic Boxing Qualifiers final – Ireland’s Kellie Harrington is the last obstacle

Caroline Dubois is through to the final of the European Olympic Boxing Qualifiers after claiming a unanimous decision over Sweden’s Agnes Alexiusson today.

The Greenwich boxer, 20, had already booked her place at the Games in Tokyo after outpointing Italy’s Rebecca Nicoli on Sunday.

But Dubois will be looking to win the 57-60kg weight class in Paris tomorrow, with Ireland’s Kellie Harrington standing in her way.

The South Londoner has won all of her fights by unanimous decision, taking out number one seed Mira Potkonen on Friday afternoon.

Southpaw Dubois turned up the aggression in the third round against Alexiusson and that was enough for three judges to mark it 29-28 in her favour. The other two officials gave it as a shutout – 30-27.
