Former Millwall midfielder Ryan Woods seals move to Championship rival

Former Millwall loanee Ryan Woods has signed for Birmingham City on a three year deal.

Woods made 63 appearances for the Lions across two loan spells in South Bermondsey.

The 27-year-old will now link up with former Charlton Athletic boss Lee Bowyer.

“I’m absolutely delighted to be here,” Woods told Birmingham’s club website. “To be through the door this early in the summer is a big positive for me.

“It means I’m here in time for pre-season and gives me a chance to get to know everybody.

“This feels like the perfect move for me at this stage in my career. I managed to play a lot of games for Millwall last season and I’m looking to play more football and get back to the best I can be.”
