Norwich City and Aston Villa linked with moves for Wimbledon keeper Matthew Cox

Norwich City and Aston Villa are reportedly battling it out to sign AFC Wimbledon goalkeeper Matthew Cox.

Cox is yet to make a senior appearance for the Dons but was named on the bench for 17 League One games last season.

The 18-year-old signed his first professional deal at Plough Lane in May 2020.

Football Insider are reporting that Norwich and Villa are lining up moves for the young goalkeeper.

Cox is capped at England U17 level. He made two appearances for the young Three Lions last February.
