Ex-Lion Williams’ availability still in question for Portsmouth at tonight’s EFL Cup tie at Millwall

Portsmouth boss Danny Cowley has admitted he’s unsure as to whether he will play Shaun Williams against Millwall tonight.
Williams made 295 appearances and scored 18 goals for the South London club over a seven-year stay at The Den.
The midfielder was named in the Pompey squad to face Fleetwood Town on Saturday, but withdrew before kick-off with a stiff back.
Cowley is now weighing up whether to hand him a Carabao Cup start against his former club.
Cowley said: “We’re always hopeful and he’s certainly made good progress from the weekend.
“He’s obviously very keen to appear against his former club, but there is a bigger picture for us to look at.
“There’s a decision to make because we’ve got a very important league game on Saturday and a small squad at the moment.
“We’re pretty clear at the moment. Haji Mnoga has been training with us for four days and Ellis just had his first session back with the group.”
