Former Palace defender Scott Dann signs for Reading

Former Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann has signed a one-year contract with Reading.

The 34-year-old was released by the Eagles this summer.

Reading manager Veljko Paunovic said: “Scott will play a crucial part in helping us keep clean sheets and win football matches. A natural leader, Scott will be another important cog in the first team machine we are trying to construct.”

Dann made 15 Premier League appearances for the Eagles last season. He has played more than 450 senior appearances.
