‘Brilliant opportunity’ – Millwall defender’s reaction after sealing Leyton Orient loan deal

Millwall centre-back Alex Mitchell has signed for Leyton Orient on a season-long loan.
The 19-year-old made his first team debut for the Lions in the 3-1 EFL Cup win against Cambridge United last week.
Mitchell signed a new long-term contract at The Den earlier in August.
Mitchell said: “It’s a brilliant opportunity for me to play in the Football League, and to join Orient who are a massive club.
“It’s also a big manager who I’ll be working under, so I’m absolutely buzzing for this opportunity.”
Orient manager Kenny Jackett, a former Millwall boss, added: “We did enquire earlier in the window for him. He was held back, covering and playing in a very strong Millwall side. Now they have players available and can release him, and we’re delighted he has chosen us.”
