Royston Hall – the iconic dance hall in Penge reopens with a new look.

Royston Hall had been the home of ballroom star Peggy Spencer’s famous dance studio for many years.

Now after a long time of renovations, the beautiful old building on Royston Road will once again have a total of three different dance spaces all in the same building.

Matico Dance Studio has taken over the venue and will host ballroom and Latin dance classes.

Matico Dance Studio was formed 10 years ago by Matthew Cutler, a former World Latin American champion and winner of Strictly Come Dancing with Alesha Dixon, and Enrico Stey, a former German and Finish Latin American Champion.

The studio, now situated at Royston Hall, will be a training ground for professional dancers from all over the world but will also run dance fitness classes and social dance classes for the local community.
