Fulham boss unhappy that officials let Bristol City equaliser stand

Fulham head coach Marco Silva was left frustrated at the officials for not ruling out Bristol City’s goal in their 1-1 draw.

Aleksandar Mitrovic’s opener was cancelled out by a Kasey Palmer strike to give the Whites a share of the spoils.

Silva said: “The first thing we must do is score goals to win football matches. We need some luck with referee decisions because today it was key for the result.

“In the first half we were not at the pace and intensity that we should be playing football. We made a couple of changes and you saw the difference, we tried to attack and started creating chances.

“We were winning the game. In this moment, we created so many chances, we must score the second and third to kill the game, and we didn’t score.

“In the second half, we controlled the game, but they had moments on the counter-attack.

“It’s important for us to be calmer and finalise the action, be more relaxed when making decisions and show more quality because we worked on ways to arrive in those positions.

“It’s difficult, but something we’ll keep working on to improve.

“Unfortunately, we didn’t score more goals and the linesman gave a goal to them that was not a normal goal.”
