The pair’s collaboration has not yet been released, but both shared pictures on their Instagram accounts from the shoot and tagged one another.

The photos showed the rappers posing in locations around Rye Lane and Peckham High Street, including outside the PeckhamPlex cinema, Peckham Levels and of course, the late-night MacDonald’s.

Despite fans’ shock, both musicians had already been staying in the area after headlining at Wireless Festival, which took place in Crystal Palace Park the weekend before.

Giggs, real name Nathaniel Thompson, grew up in Peckham and started out as a DJ, predominantly playing reggae, ragga and bashment.

This album helped Giggs’ popularity expand outside London and in 2008 he was nominated for the BET Awards in the US for Best Hip-Hop Act: UK.

Giggs won the award beating out more established acts.

In November 2019, Meek Mill named Giggs as his favourite UK rapper. “Giggs is,” he said, when questioned by a fan.
