Charlton boss Nigel Adkins has one injury doubt for Lincoln match

Charlton boss Nigel Adkins has revealed that one of his players is touch and go to be fit for Saturday’s match at Lincoln City.

The Addicks resume League One action after the international break with a trip north.

But Adkins has reported nearly a clean bill of health for his squad as they look to secure the win that could lift them out of the relegation zone.

He said: “Our players have all trained well. I’ve got one player who has picked up a little bit of a knock but we’re anticipating him being fit – so I don’t want to divulge his name.

“Jake Forster-Caskey and Ryan Inniss are the two long-term injuries, everybody else has been training well and looks to be available for selection at the weekend.

“We’re in a real good place regarding that because I’ve highlighted that we brought players in after the season started and we’ve needed to get players up to a level where they can – without risk of injury – play 90 minutes of football Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday.

“Alex Gilbey and Ben Purrington have come back and with the last spell of games we’ve been able to manage players through with their training and game loads. We’re in a far better position than what we were. I’m really pleased with that.”
