Ghastly, ghoulish things are going on this Halloween

It’s Halloween this weekend. Here are some ghoulish, tasty and some very, very scary things to do – if you dare!
Halloween at Battersea Power Station

Gather your family and take part in Battersea Power Station’s Halloween Hunt around Circus West Village , solving spooky riddles and spotting creepy objects hiding around the place.

As you go, complete the Halloween questions and submit your answers to go in the draw to win four tickets to a movie of your choice at The Cinema In The Arches, plus two signed copies of Ghostcloud by Michael Mann.

Set in a vividly evoked, smoke-stained underworld beneath Battersea Power Station, Ghostcloud is a book about friendship, courage and finding your freedom against all odds.

Queen of the Crepes – Open weekdays from 11am to 4pm and weekends from 11am to 6pm

The delicious creperie on the Coaling Jetty will be serving special flavours with clever Halloween-themed names to get you in the mood for the spooky weekend.

DNR virtual reality arcade – Friday October 29 from 7pm to 10pm

DNR VR, London’s first ever virtual reality arcade, is challenging visitors to ‘survive the night’ in a one-off Halloween experience.

Many use Halloween as an opportunity to settle down and watch the usual horror flicks featuring a group of friends attempting to survive until dawn – be that in a haunted house, an eerie woodland or within a zombie apocalypse.

But DNA VR is taking that a step further, by allowing fans of all things eerie to live through those experiences, via a frightful selection of virtual horror settings.

Virtual Reality

Visitors can fully immerse themselves as they find their way out of the haunted Hospital Of Horror, evade the supernatural in Affected The Manor or navigate a zombie infested post-apocalyptic world as one of a few survivors in Arizona Sunshine, as well as many other spine chilling arcade games and experiences.

Part of the event is hosted in VR pods that allow up to 10 people in the same game and offer true escapism with virtual flying and teleporting.

They are suitable for any age and interest. The Free Roam gallery offers eight different games including five escape rooms, one horror experience and two shooting games.

The event at Battersea Power Station will run from 7pm-10pm. For more information, visit www.dnavr.co.uk

Diane Chorley’s Spookalicious at Woolwich Works

The Duchess of Canvey, acclaimed 1980s superstar songstress Diane Chorley, is opening her legendary nightclub The Flick inside Woolwich Works for a Spookalicious Halloween show.

Diane Chorley is a character created by performer David Selley, as a love letter to the working classes, the strong independent women of Essex and the sequin drenched glamour of the 1980s.

This Halloween, she will be joined by her live band The Buffet and special guests including Nina Conti, Crystal Rasmussen and Le Gateau Chocolat.
