Boss Silva believes there’s more to come from Fulham
Marco Silva thinks his side can still improve, despite having thrashed Nottingham Forest 4-0 at the City Ground last weekend.
The result lifted the Whites up to second in the Championship, five points off league leaders Bournemouth.
Silva said: “If we have all our players available, we will be stronger as a team. Some moments we will be more compact and sometimes we’ll be more creative. As a complete performance, we still have something more.
“The score gives a boost to the players’ confidence.
“Our aim was clear, to claim nine points in a week and that’s what we did.
“This is our way, it’s what we work on. Keeping a clean sheet is important, because to play good offensive football, you have to be compact as a team and be balanced. We clearly improved in the second half, and scoring four goals again – it’s not the first time, it’s more than once.”
Fulham defender Cyrus Christie is on the Football Black List 2021.
The initiative, which shines a light on the most influential black people in British football, was founded in 2008 by sports journalists Leon Mann and Rodney Hinds to highlight leaders working across all areas of the game from the black community.
Christie, who joined the Championship side in January 2018 from Middlesbrough, was chosen by a panel including the Premier League, The Football Association, Professional Footballers’ Association, League Managers Association, English Football League and Kick It Out.
