Charlton Athletic duo could both be on the move this summer

Charlton are ready to listen to offers for Ezri Konsa and Josh Magennis.

Centre-back Konsa, an England under-20 international, has been mooted as a mover in the past two windows. Everton and Brighton have both previously had an interest.

Northern Ireland international Magennis has 12 months to run on his SE7 deal and was the subject of multiple bids from Bolton Wanderers in January.

It is not clear yet if the Australian consortium – fronted by Andrew Muir – would change the situation regarding the pair if they complete their takeover.

Muir’s group are hoping to finally end their lengthy pursuit of obtaining the club from Roland Duchatelet by the end of this week.

Even a new owner would struggle to resist serious Premier League interest in Konsa, who was part of the England under-21 squad which won the Toulon Tournament for a third straight year.

Centre-forward Magennis scored 10 goals in 42 appearances for Charlton last season.

  • Magennis is a better player than he has been allowed to show because of poor management. He is an old fashioned style centre forward and needs two things to be effective. Firstly he needs a striker as a partner and secondly at least one wide player who can provide decent crosses. Maybe he will get that elsewhere.
CAFC will make a profit on Magennis on Ajose, who should go, they will make a hefty loss.
