Enter Bexley’s Young Musician of the Year 2022 to win £100
Young musicians in Bexley are being urged to enter a borough-wide competition which will give them the chance to perform in concert and receive a prize of £100.
The Bexley Young Musician of the Year is open for entries until the end of November after which eight finalists will be chosen to perform in front of judges.
Musicians and singers who live or are in full-time education in Bexley and will be 18 or younger on September 1, 2022 are encouraged to apply.
Previous winners include singer, violinist and pianist Emelye Moulton, who won in 2014 and Will Morley, who won in 2016 and is now a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra.
Andy Bruce, from Sidcup Rotary Satellite Club, said: “Bexley Young Musician of the Year 2022 will show the best of local musical talent, enabling young musicians to perform in front of experienced, professional judges who will also provide vital critical analysis of their skills.
“This exciting project offers a brilliant showcase to talented young musicians in the borough. We can’t wait to hear the entries.”
