Non-league round-up: Dulwich win but boss Gavin Rose not happy with performance

BY STEFAN FROST

Gavin Rose contends that his Dulwich Hamlet side are still very much a work in progress following their 4-3 victory over Hampton & Richmond last weekend.

Jack Holland’s 89th-minute goal settled the contest at Champion Hill. Hamlet’s other scorers were Danny Mills (two) and Ronnie Vint.

“We were happy with the result but we didn’t play particularly well,” said Rose. “There are a lot of things we can improve on to reach a higher level. We’ve had periods of playing well but we’re aspiring to get that consistency to give us a greater chance of winning.”

Dulwich, eighth in National League South, host Bath City tomorrow.

Bromley suffered a 3-0 loss at the hands of League One Rotherham in the first round of the FA Cup last Saturday.

The Ravens’ Haji Mnoga receive a straight red for a reckless challenge minutes after coming on in the second half. At that stage Ben Wiles and Freddie Ladapo had already scored with Will Grigg adding a late third.

Bromley travel to Stockport tomorrow.

Tooting & Mitcham remain mid-table in the Isthmian South Central Division after a 2-1 loss at Ashford Town (Middx). A second-half goal from Mark Waters reduced the deficit.

Goals in the last 10 minutes from Conor Turner and Ali Wiltshire helped Tooting Bec salvage a point against FC Elmstead on Tuesday in the SCEFL First Division.  Cray Valley PM went down 3-1 to Erith Town in the London Senior Cup on Tuesday. Rodney Eurotor got their goal.

Fisher lost 3-0 to table-topping Glebe on Saturday.
