Burton boss Hasselbaink: Deji Oshilaja did not retaliate – Charlton did not cause us problems
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink believed Deji Oshilaja’s claim that he didn’t retaliate towards Jayden Stockley – and added that Charlton Athletic caused Burton Albion very few problems.
Ben Purrington’s first-half goal gave the Addicks all three points.
Stockley and Oshilaja both received their marching orders early on in the game from referee Trevor Kettle after an altercation as Charlton took a corner.
Brewers boss Hasselbaink said: “I’ve seen it back but I can’t see it very well because the camera is here [near the dugout] and it happened over the other side. He [Deji Oshilaja] is saying that he got hit, he got swung by and I believe him.
“He says he didn’t retaliate, if you look how the two boys were sent off, there’s a big gap between it, while Charlton players go over to the linesman. I can’t comment, I don’t know, my player says that’s what happened and I trust my player.
“He [Kane Hemmings] said he got touched [when the referee gave a foul for simulation in the box] by the goalkeeper, that’s the second time in a row that’s happened now. The referee says he dived, Kane is saying that he got touched. What can I say? We haven’t been lucky with the referees – here or away. We’re on the other end of it, but it’s about keeping on going, keep on fighting and hopefully it will turn.
“If you look at Charlton, did they give us problems? No. Second-half it was only us. It’s very disappointing to concede a goal like that. That’s our first one from a corner this season. Normally we defend them really well. It is one of those things, when it’s a tight game, that’s where a goal is going to come.
“We didn’t create enough, we should’ve created more with the amount of possession we had.”

Well Jimmy you must have been smoking some funny cigs. It was not what i watched. Charlton had an easy day at the office. As Burton were poor. Mind you. You have always been a moaner.
