Charlton Athletic continue Fill The Valley campaign – with special offer for Ipswich and Cambridge matches

Charlton Athletic have announced that the home games against Ipswich and Cambridge United will be part of their Fill The Valley campaign – meaning season-ticket holders can bring along up to three other people free of charge.

The attendance announced for the 2-0 win over Plymouth Argyle last weekend was 26,090, the Addicks’ biggest turnout of the campaign.

And now Charlton owner Thomas Sandgaard has decided to repeat the venture for the December 7 match against Ipswich Town and the home fixture against Cambridge United on December 11.

Sandgaard told the club’s official website: “The atmosphere for our game against Plymouth Argyle was incredible and played a big part in helping us to victory. We are grateful to our season-ticket holders who helped make that day special for everyone in the stadium.

“To see The Valley like that was really exciting and I’m looking forward to being back for our games in December and hearing that roar again.”

Caretaker manager Johnnie Jackson added: “The support we had at The Valley for the game against Plymouth Argyle was incredible. That is what this football club is all about and that is what can be achieved when everyone gets behind us.

“I cannot emphasise enough just how much difference the supporters make to what we do out there on the pitch and the atmosphere that was generated on that day pushed us on to those three points.

“It does not stop there, though. We want to continue this momentum and keep The Valley rocking exactly like that for our upcoming home games, so bring your friends, bring your family and bring your voices.”
