Lambeth 19-year-old found with multiple stab wounds near burning car in suspected attempted murder

The police are appealing for witnesses after a man was found near a burning car with stab wounds to his chest, stomach and back.

At 12:45am on Thursday, 28 June, officers were called to Tulse Hill to reports of a vehicle having been set on fire.

They found a burning Audi and a 19-year-old victim suffering from multiple stab wounds to his chest, stomach and back.

The injured teen was taken to a south London hospital by London Ambulance Service where his condition remains critical.

Detective Sergeant Lauren Bateman of Lambeth CID said: “We know that there were some nine males around the burning vehicle, all with their hoods up and I would like to know who these people are. The injuries inflicted on the victim were numerous and could easily have proved fatal.

“The level of violence used in this attack makes it vital that those responsible are apprehended. If you know who they are or have footage of the incident, please don’t hesitate, make the call and leave the rest to us.”
