Harry Arter back at Forest after ending Charlton Athletic loan stay

Charlton Athletic have confirmed that Harry Arter’s loan stay is over – with the experienced midfielder returning to parent club Nottingham Forest.

All parties had an option to review the move in the January transfer window. The 32-year-old has struggled for any serious game time in SE7 for the past couple of months.

Charlton manager Johnnie Jackson said: “Harry came in and worked hard during his time at the club.

“He has been a consummate professional and set a good example to the younger players, we wish him the best for the future.”

Arter’s last appearance for the Addicks came in the 2-1 loss against Lincoln City in mid-October.

He was booked in the Burton Albion match for dissent, despite being an unused substitute in the fixture.

Arter played 71 minutes against Havant & Waterlooville in the first round of the FA Cup but was benched for the tie at Gateshead.
