Charlton Athletic reach EFL Trophy last eight – with quarter-final draw on Thursday morning

Charlton Athletic will find out their quarter-final opponents in the EFL Trophy on Thursday morning – with the draw taking place on talkSPORT.

The Addicks beat Milton Keynes 1-0 tonight with Jonathan Leko scoring in the closing stages at The Valley.

Pape Souare’s deep cross was met by Mason Burstow at the back post, the teenager directing the ball back across the face of goal for the Birmingham City loanee to finish from six yards out.

The quarter-finals are scheduled for the week commencing January 24.

The draw will be live on talkSPORT between 11-11.30am.

The remaining U21 category one sides go head to head next Tuesday as Chelsea visit Arsenal.

Wigan powered into the next round with a 6-0 thrashing of Oldham while former Addicks striker Michael Smith was on target for Rotherham as they won 4-2 at Crewe.

Hartlepool edged Bolton 1-0 on home turf while Harrogate won by the same scoreline against Carlisle.
