Non-league round-up: Dulwich Hamlet end wait for league win as Bromley’s unbeaten run ended by Southend United

Dulwich Hamlet recorded their first away win in the National League South since November 16 as they beat Slough Town 2-1 on Tuesday night.

Max Worsfold’s 38th-minute goal had seen Gavin Rose’s side fall behind at Arbour Park.

But Reise Allassani equalised in the 51st minute from a Jordan Green cross.

Ibra Sekajja, another former Crystal Palace player, netted his fourth goal in five matches to leave Hamlet eighth in the standings.

They are only a point behind Chippenham Town, who occupy the final play-off spot, and have two fixtures in hand.

Bromley’s promotion hopes took a dent at Roots Hall as they lost 2-0 to Southend United.
Matthew Dennis put the Shrimpers ahead two minutes into the second half with Shaun Hobson quickly extending their advantage.

It ended a five-match winning streak for the Ravens.

“We had a few players just not quite on it tonight,” said Bromley manager Andy Woodman.

“Let’s give Southend some credit – it was like their cup final, that goes to show how far Bromley Football Club have come.

“It just didn’t fall for us. I can’t criticise my players too much. It’s one of those nights which we haven’t had too many. It wasn’t much of a spectacle.

“They defended for their lives and their keeper was excellent – he came and took everything we threw in there.

“The margins haven’t gone for us. We’ve still got our target, which we’re on course for, but this is a bitter pill to swallow. Southend have recruited quite a lot of players since we were meant to play them over Christmas.”

Bromley have signed Barnet striker Mason Broomfield for an undisclosed fee.

“He gives us another dimension up top,” said Woodman.

Fisher lost 3-0 at Glebe in the SCEFL Challenge Cup third round in midweek.
