Clapham Manor Primary School kids celebrate 100 years of women having the vote
Clapham Manor Primary School marched on Clapham Common to celebrate 100 years of women having the vote on Friday, July 6.
Their route took them from the school to the common, before gathering at the bandstand for some inspirational speeches from Year 6 children about the importance of equality and having a right to free speech.
They sang an updated version of Ethel Smyth’s March of the Women, and it was a fantastic celebration, with an amazing colourful atmosphere.
Sam Cullen and Suzanne Wood organised the march, and are very grateful for the support of parents, staff, Nigel Haselden and the amazing children from the school in Belmont Road, Clapham.
