Charlton Athletic boss provides information on Corey Blackett-Taylor substitution

Charlton Athletic manager Johnnie Jackson has revealed that Corey Blackett-Taylor’s substitution early in the second half was not injury related.

The left wing-back scored his first goal for the club in today’s 2-0 win over Burton Albion.

But Blackett-Taylor, just back recently from a hamstring injury, was replaced in the second period by Diallang Jaiyesimi.

Jackson said: “Corey’s just come back in the team and been a little under the weather – that’s been a factor on how long we can play him for.

“He hasn’t done much training since Tuesday night and came out of that game pretty fatigued. I was keen to get him back out there because I know how much of a threat he can be.

“It’s nice after a win to pick the same team. I haven’t had that luxury much at all – I think it’s only the second time I’ve been able to pick the same team.

“His race was run after 55-60 minutes.”
