Millwall winger undergoes surgery

Millwall winger Connor Mahoney has undergone surgery.

Our paper revealed recently that the Lions would not be offering a new deal to the former Birmingham, Bournemouth and Blackburn attacker.

Mahoney has barely featured at first-team level this season and is out of contract this summer.

The 25-year-old has made just three appearances since the end of September.

He signed for the Lions from Birmingham City in July 2019.

“Conor has had an operation,” said Millwall manager Gary Rowett. “It was an issue he wanted to resolve and we’ve tried to help him do that so at least he can have a summer relaxing rather than waiting for the end of the season.

“It means he’ll be ready for next season.”
