Cyclist fighting for life after collision with van

Detectives are appealing for information following a road traffic collision, which has left a cyclist with serious injuries.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service were called at around 6.20pm on Sunday, to reports of a collision between a cyclist and a van in Grosvenor Road, Pimlico.

The cyclist, a 58-year-old man, was taken to a central London hospital suffering from serious injuries, which are currently being treated as life-threatening.

The driver of the van stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries. Detectives from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are leading the investigation and are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the collision, or captured the events on CCTV, or dash cam to come forward.
