European champion Chris Billam-Smith: I’m unbeatable on home turf

European cruiserweight champion Chris Billam-Smith has described himself as “unbeatable” on home turf ahead of his July 30 clash with Brixton’s Isaac Chamberlain.

Chamberlain, 28, can also win the Commonwealth title in the fight at Bournemouth’s International Centre.

Billam-Smith is on a six-bout winning streak since dropping a split decision verdict to Walworth’s Richard Riakporhe in 2019.

He said: “Isaac is a very good fighter. He’s been around the game for a long time.

“He was inactive for a bit, but he is always dangerous.

“He’s got a really tricky style. He’s got quick hands and a good punch selection.

“It’s a huge fight for me and it’s one I definitely can’t take my eyes off. But back in Bournemouth, in front of a home crowd, it’s a different story. I’m unbeatable there.

“The best me can stop anyone in the world, that’s a fact. All I have got to do is work on my performance and make sure I perform on the night and that’s what I believe the outcome will be.”
