Charlton Athletic boss Bowyer: I have admiration for Stanley boss and his achievements on a small budget
BY RICHARD CAWLEY
Charlton Athletic manager Lee Bowyer has plenty of admiration for the job that John Coleman has done at Accrington Stanley – ahead of the two clubs meeting on Saturday.
Accrington won the League Two title last season even though their budget was not one of the biggest at that level.
Bowyer said: “You have to respect them. I know how hard it is with a small budget, because our budget has been cut quite considerably.
“I know what it’s like and it must be even tougher for him.
“They are a good side – I’ve been watching their last couple of games. They are well-organised, know what their jobs are and are well drilled. They are going to be no pushover, for sure. No game is.
“They are a hard-working team and seem together.”
