Dons bring in towering frontman…just days after he has made EFL jump with Huddersfield

AFC Wimbledon have signed striker Kyle Hudlin on loan, just days after the towering frontman made the move from Solihull Moors to Huddersfield Town.

The Terriers announced that the 22-year-old would go into their B squad.

But now Hudlin will get the chance to test himself in League Two after sealing a season-long stay with Johnnie Jackson’s side.

“He is a bright young talent and Huddersfield have spotted that talent,” Dons boss Jackson told the South London Press. “They have paid money to bring him to their football club. They want him to go out and play games, he was someone on our radar anyway.

“He is a big centre-forward and that is an area of the pitch where we are light. He has a strong presence. We’re really pleased to have him on board.”

Hudlin told the club’s website: “It’s a great opportunity to showcase my talent in league football. I want to help Wimbledon to kick on and get back into League One – which is where we need to be.

“The gaffer has been really welcoming to me. He’s someone that expects high standards and I feel like that will help to push me up to the next level and get the best out of me.

“I expect League Two to be a bit more technical than the National League but it still has the same characteristics that I have grown used to.”
