Fulham complete deal for Israel international winger Manor Solomon

Fulham have signed winger Manor Solomon on a deal until next summer.

The Whites have been linked since the end of last season – after they had wrapped up their Championship promotion – with a move for the 23-year-old.

Solomon was under contract with Shakhtar Donetsk but a FIFA ruling allows Ukraine-based players – who are not nationals of that country – to suspend their terms.

The Israel international exercised that option.

“After the suspension of the contract, FIFA issued an updated regulation that states that players in this situation cannot be registered until August 1, 2022,” said Fulham in a statement on their official website. “As a result, the club will be applying for an international transfer certificate for Solomon on that date.”

Solomon said: “I’m really happy and delighted to be here at Fulham and I can’t wait to feel the special atmosphere at Craven Cottage.

“There are some great players here and I am determined to help Fulham achieve its goals for the year. I also want to send a big hug to my friends and supporters in Ukraine. You are in my thoughts.”
