Police arrest 35-year-old after woman stabbed several times in back in Greenwich

The Police have found a man they sought in connection with a stabbing incident.

A woman, believed to be in her 30s, was stabbed several times in the back in Greenwich yesterday, September 10.

Greenwich police appealed for assistance to trace 35-year-old Peter Morley in connection with the incident in Anglesea Road.

Mr Morley was arrested yesterday evening on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in custody at a South London police station.

Police were called at around 9:30am on Monday, 10 September to reports of a stabbing.

Officers attended. At the scene a woman, believed in her 30s, was found suffering from a number of stab wounds to her back.

The injured woman was taken by London’s Air Ambulance [HEMS] to a central London hospital where her condition is not life threatening.

Enquiries continue.
