Crystal Palace part company with chief scout Tim Coe

Crystal Palace have parted company with chief scout Tim Coe.

The 32-year old had been at Palace for five-and-a-half years, joining in 2013 whilst still training as a solicitor.

He had previously spent time as a scout and also a coach with Reading’s academy and latterly as head of youth development at Aldershot Town.

During his tenure in South London, the Eagles broke their transfer record several times, including the signing of strikers Dwight Gayle from Peterborough for a fee in the region of £6million and Christian Benteke for £27m.

Coe replaced former chief scout David Sclandlers, who had left the Eagles along with then-manager Dougie Freedman to join Bolton in October 2012.

Freedman returned to Palace in August last year as sporting director, and Sclandlers has also since returned to South London to work alongside recruitment manager Omar Yabroudi.

Meanwhile former Queens Park Rangers striker Kevin Gallen has also joined the Eagles’ scouting team, having played alongside Freedman in the youth team at the West London club.
