Charlton keeper Wollacott set to face Brazil on latest international duty for Ghana

Charlton Athletic goalkeeper Joe Wollacott has been named in Ghana’s squad for friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua.

The 25-year-old stopper has been an ever-present in the Addicks’ league campaign since signing on a free transfer from Swindon Town this summer.

Ghana coach Otto Addo has named a 29-man squad for the fixtures. First up is Brazil in Le Havre, France on September 23 and then Nicaragua in Lorca, Spain on September 27.

Wollacott won his first international call-up in October 2021 and has been capped 10 times.

He is targeting a starting spot for his country at the World Cup finals in Qatar which start in late November.

Ghana are in Group H and face Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay.
