Appeals after suspected rape and robbery in Burgess Park
A woman was hospitalised after an alleged sexual assault in Burgess Park, off St George’s Way, Camberwell.
Police were called to the park shortly before 5.30am yesterday. Later that day, a 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of rape and robbery.
The woman was taken to hospital for assessment and is being supported by specialist officers.
The suspect remains in custody but so far no charges have been made.
