Bromley boxer wins Southern Area title eliminator

Bromley welterweight Billy ‘The Kid’ Jackson is set to box for the Southern Area title after winning his eliminator against Gideon Onyenani on Saturday night.

Jackson improved his record to 5-0 with victory at York Hall, Bethnal Green.

The South Londoner only dropped one round on the scorecards against Onyenani (4-1).

Jackson looked close to inflicting a stoppage in round seven as he rained down punches.

Jackson turned professional in November 2018. He won 24 of 27 unlicensed boxing fights, winning English and British titles on various promotions, like UKBC.
