Young boy in critical condition after collision with bus in West Norwood

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a collision which has left a young boy critically injured in West Norwood.

Officers were called at around 8.15am today (Tuesday) after receiving reports of a collision involving a bus and a pedestrian in Norwood Road.

London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance also attended and the pedestrian, an 11-year-old boy, was taken to hospital – he remains there in a critical condition. His next of kin have been informed.

The driver of the bus stopped at scene and is assisting police with their enquiries – no arrests.

Any witnesses or drivers with dash cam footage who could assist the investigation are asked to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 020 8285 1574.
