Millwall have chance to make amends at Birmingham City – as they get straight back on Championship treadmill

BY ALEX GRACE

Gary Rowett is keen for Millwall to look forward and put Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Huddersfield Town behind them.
The Lions lost 1-0 at the weekend and dropped out of the Championship play-off spots.
But they have the chance to make amends on Wednesday night at Birmingham, a ground they have not lost at in their last six visits.
“In the Championship, there’s not too many teams that’ll put a four-game back-to-back winning run together,” said Rowett.

“We’re quite pleased with that. We’ve agreed that, even though we wanted five, we would’ve taken a draw away – but we got a loss.

“We’ve got to accept it, we didn’t do enough to win the game. Huddersfield did more than us to win the game and it is pretty much how it is.

“We’ve got to focus on the next game and see if we can put it right.”
