Charlton Athletic mulling over loan recalls for goalkeeping duo

Charlton Athletic are weighing up recalling Ashley Maynard-Brewer and Nathan Harness from their loan spells.

Australian goalkeeper Maynard-Brewer joined Gillingham on a season-long loan in the summer but damaged his shoulder in July.

He has recently returned to the Addicks first-team fold and played for their U21s.

Manager Ben Garner told the South London Press last week that any decision over Maynard-Brewer’s future would be in consultation with the Gills.

Charlton are thought to have the option of bringing Maynard-Brewer and Harness, who is on loan at Bromley, back to SE7.

Garner has been left unhappy that Harness has not played for the National League side.

Wollacott is out for a number of weeks after breaking a finger in Charlton’s pre-match warm-up at Burton Albion. The injury has cost Wollacott his spot in Ghana’s World Cup squad.
