Simon Bassey: Second-half AFC Wimbledon display was unacceptable

AFC Wimbledon manager Neal Ardley looked a worried man as he left the field after a limp second half against Luton – with first-team coach Simon Bassey labelling the 2-0 defeat as “unacceptable”.
Bassey was on post-match duties as the Dons’ abject form continued on Saturday.
He said: “Obviously it’s a disappointing result. The first half was a tight game, with the one or two opportunities that they had – one probably.
“Second half – unacceptable. Nowhere near good enough.
“Neal defends the players regularly, he’s a man who’s got integrity and got honesty. He defends the players and they let him down in the second half and that’s not acceptable.
“They didn’t run hard enough, they lost every tackle they went for.
“When you start with that… when you don’t do that, you’re in trouble.”

I can’t see anything changing though. If Neil sticks with Appiah up front and keeps playing our best centre back at right back we’ve got no chance. It’s a real shame.
