Charlton goalkeeper an injury doubt for Port Vale – as risk two senior keepers both unavailable

Craig MacGillivray is an injury doubt for Charlton Athletic’s League One match at Port Vale tomorrow.

The Addicks moved to cancel the loans of Ashley Maynard-Brewer and Nathan Harness this week.

And Maynard-Brewer is in line to start this weekend if MacGillivray is not available. The Australian joined Gillingham on loan in July but suffered a serious shoulder injury soon after that which was expected to rule him out until December.

But Maynard-Brewer recently made his playing return for Charlton’s U21s.

MacGillivray was poised to get a run in the team this month with Joe Wollacott set to be on World Cup duty for Ghana.

But Wollacott is facing a number of weeks out after needing surgery on a broken finger sustained during the warm-up at Burton Albion on Saturday.
