Dream come true for six year old Leo’s free placement offer to Johnnie Jackson’s Football Academy
A six-year-old’s dream came true when he trained with his football hero.
Leo Barrow was given a free place at the Johnnie Jackson Football Academy after the Charlton legend heard about Leo’s younger brother, Noah.
Leo helps care for Noah who suffers from a rare genetic condition called H-ABC which progressively damages the nervous system.
There are only 100 cases worldwide. Noah, aged two, also has dystonia which results in painful muscle spasms.
Mum Mags Barrow said: “Leo had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed it. Both Johnnie and the coaches were excellent in making him feel involved and they very kindly gave Leo the player of the week trophy.”
The Bexley family are supported by Demelza Hospice Care for Children.
Johnnie Jackson is a supporter and regular visitor of the Eltham based hospice.
