Man in his 30s stabbed to death in Southwark Park

A murder investigation has been launched in Rotherhithe after a man was fatally stabbed.

Police were called to Southwark Park, Rotherhithe at 1.59pm today, Wednesday, 31 October to reports of a man lying injured.

Officers, London Air Ambulance and paramedics attended and found a man aged in his thirties suffering from stab injuries.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, the man died at the scene.

His next of kin have now been informed.

A crime scene remains in place.

No arrests have been made.

Enquiries into the full circumstances of the attack are underway.

The Homicide and Major Crime Command are now leading the investigation. The attack occurred at lunchtime and police are urging witnesses and anyone who has information or footage to get in touch.
