Charlton Athletic injury news for Cheltenham Town match at The Valley

Steven Sessegnon is fit for Charlton Athletic’s home game against Cheltenham tomorrow night.

The Fulham loanee came off in the second half of last weekend’s 2-2 draw with Stockport in the FA Cup.

Goalkeeper Craig MacGillivray, who had been absent due to suffering a concussion at Burton Albion, is also available.

“Sess is fine,” said Addicks manager Ben Garner. “That was cramp in his hamstring. That is really good news that is all it was.

“Craig is fine. He has trained all week. He trained a couple of days at the end of last week and followed the protocol. He has trained all week and been absolutely fine. He’s fit and available.”

Miles Leaburn and Terell Thomas have both moved outside in their rehabbing from an ankle and hamstring injury respectively.

Asked about the return schedule for Leaburn, Garner told the South London Press: “We’ll see. Because they are not straight lines, these things.

“It might be that he is out for a couple of days and then he is a day or two off it to let it settle, then go again.

“He’s progressing nicely. We’ve got a plan and ticking the boxes off. We’re hoping he’ll be back in the next two to three weeks but we have to take that day by day, listen to Miles and how his body is responding as well. All is progressing well and hopefully sooner rather than later.

“Terell’s was the tendon at the bottom of his hamstring. It was the Coalville game, he had an impact on the bottom of his knee and that pulled the tendon where it attaches to the knee.

“Probably a similar timeframe to Miles, maybe a touch longer. Conor McGrandles is out of his protective boot now, which is great to see. Eoghan O’Connell has given the crutches back today and is now on the bike. All these little milestones are great for me to see and also a lift for the individual players as well.”
