Exclusive: Dons forward’s loan situation decided ahead of the January transfer window
AFC Wimbledon forward Zach Robinson is set to see out his season-long loan with Dundee in the Scottish Championship.
The South London Press understands that despite Robinson having a January recall clause in his season-long loan deal, the 20-year-old will be spending the campaign with Gary Bowyer’s side.
The AFC Wimbledon academy graduate has scored eight goals and registered two assists in all competitions since joining Dundee, who currently sit 2nd in the table.
Robinson signed a new two-year deal with the Dons over the summer but was sent out on loan once the deal was completed.
Our paper understands that Robinson was set to spend the season in the National League before The Dark Blues registered their interest.
Robinson played the first three games of Mark Bowen’s reign following Mark Robinson’s dismissal towards the end of the 2021-22 season.
Robinson scored his first league goal for the club in the 1-1 draw with Charlton but suffered a hamstring injury in the 1-1 draw with Milton Keynes and was ruled out for the final four games of the season.
