Man charged over sex assault on Notting Hill pensioner

A man has been charged after a woman was sexually assaulted in Notting Hill.

James Bex, 35, of no fixed address, was arrested on December 31.

The charges relate to a report of a serious sexual assault involving a woman in her 70s near Ledbury Road on the evening of December 23 last year.

He was taken into custody and charged with attempted rape, causing a female to engage in a non-penetrative sexual activity, burglary, assault by beating and two counts of fraud.

He appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court yesterday and was remanded in custody until his next hearing at Isleworth Crown Court on January 30.
